NIKON D3400
OVERVIEW
The Nikon D3400 is the entry level DSLR offered by Nikon and replaces the D3300.
The D3400 continues the line with a small form factor and simple operation, making
it ideal for the first step into an interchangeable lens camera.
SENOR
The D3400 sports an ASP-C, 24.2MP sensor, the same as in its predecessor the D3300.
The two cameras also share the same EXPEED 4 processor.
ISO RANGE
ISO range is from ISO 100-25,600.
SHUTTER SPEED
The D3400 has a maximum shutter speed of 1/4000th of a second and will shoot at 5
frames per second.
AUTOFOCUS
Autofocus has 11 AF points with 1 being cross-type.
VIEWFINDER & LCD SCREEN
The D3400’s viewfinder has a 95% coverage with 0.85x magnification. On the rear on
the camera is a 3.0” LCD that is neither touchscreen nor articulating.
CONNECTIVITY
The camera has a single SD card slot. HDMI and USB connection is also included.
FILE TYPES
J-pegs can be shot as fine, normal and basic with RAW files as 12 bit compressed.
VIDEO
Video can be recorded at 1080p with 50 or 60 frames per second.
